Know the Steps to Convert Infographic to Gifographic in Photoshop

You may have come across with animated infographic called gifographics daily. Lots of marketing companies start using these in their marketing strategy to sell their products. From long time images, videos and infographics play a significant role in the marketing industry, but with the evolution of technology and the type of media consumer consumes has led to the use of gifographics in marketing.

You may have enjoyed a lot of gifographics of different companies daily, but did you know these are easy to make. With Adobe Photoshop, you can create gifographics with infographics using these steps.

What is Gifographic?

The combination of two words Infographic and GIF is called gifographic. GIF is known as (Graphics Interchange Format). They are a series of images or soundless video that will loop continuously and doesn’t require anyone to press play.

Create Gifographic Using Photoshop

  • Make an Infographic

The first step is to make infographic that you want to animate. You can make an infographic of your choice, but consider making an infographic that has elements which are suitable for animation. Make sure to complete the infographic first before proceeding to animate it because if your graphic keeps on changing, then you have to design it again and again. So finish the infographic to the last detail before proceeding to the next step.

  • Create Frames In Photoshop

Now open Photoshop and create different frames for each section of the gifographic. Build your animation from layers in Photoshop. Once all the frames have finished, check them for possible errors.

 

  • Save Frames into A New Folder

The next step is to export each frame in a new folder. The format can be Png or Jpg. For convenience, you can name the frame as 1, 2, 3, etc.

 

  • Import File into Stack

The next step is to import all the saved data into Stack. For this purpose, go to Photoshop window and open File > Scripts > Load Files into Stack. Click on the “Browse” button in the dialogue box and open the folder where you saved the PNG files and select all the files then click ok.

  • Use the Timeline To Create Animation

Once all the files have been loaded, match the number of layers with frames in the layer panel. Then go to Window > Timeline, and a timeline panel appears at the bottom. Choose the “Create Frame Animation” option from the panel. Click “Make Frames from Layers” from the right side menu of the Animation Panel. 0.00 seconds is the default display time for each image. You can toggle them as per your needs. Also, you can choose how many times the animation will loop. You can also select forever option to keep your animation going in a non-stop loop.

 

Save and Export the Gif

  • If the animation is completed, click on File, then Export and Save for Web.
  • Choose “GIF 128 Dithered” from the “Preset” menu.
  • Pick “256” from the “Colors” menu.
  • Change the image size if you will be using GIF online.
  • Then Click “Forever” from the “Looping Options” menu.
  • You can preview it from the preview button. After previewing, click on the Save button and select the destination of the File now you are ready to go.

Be it infographic or gifographic; both are highly engaging tools used in marketing strategy. So include any of the marketing tools according to the plan to boost the audience engagement.
